Team members created care packages, handwritten cards, and short videos in appreciation for veterans and their caregivers. On Veterans Day, PA CareerLink® team members partnered with Patriots Cove for a unique service opportunity to honor and better support military veterans and their caregivers. As part of our Virtual Veterans Volunteer Day, we participated in a Zoom call with the founders of Patriots Cove.
Patriots Cove is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by a military veteran and his spouse to empower other veterans, first responders, and their caregivers to heal and adapt to life after service. To learn more about their eighteen-acre refuge, please click here.
After our call, team members and their families assembled care packages, wrote cards, and filmed short videos to thank veterans and caregivers for their service. In total, between the PA CareerLink and Patriots Cove, 140 care packages will be distributed through the Wilkes-Barre Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center.
